Fresh off the success of its literal wall of LaCroix, New York’s new Williamsburg Whole Foods is leaning further into the meme with a truly over-the-top confection: A LaCroix cake.

The rectangular dessert resembles a 12-pack of the lime-flavored seltzer, with a truly impressive rendering of the brand’s delightfully tacky package design. 

Twitter user Becca Laurie first spotted the cake on Monday:

The spread also features cupcakes topped with tiny edible renderings of LaCroix cans.

Gothamist investigated further and found that the cake in question was made for promotional purposes only. Due to increased interest, however, the bakery is now accepting orders for custom LaCroix cakes at $ 80 a piece.  Read more…
